Welcome, traveler, to
the Current Middle Ages!
Located in Troy NY the Shire of
Anglespur is a chapter of the Society for
Creative Anachronism (SCA) that
encompasses Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and the surrounding
county of Rensselaer.
The SCA is a non-profit, educational
organization that studies and attempts to re-create pre-1600 AD Western
Civilization. The events are participatory and members selectively
recreate medieval culture, choosing the elements that interest them.
Our
shire is full of kind gentles who study everything from fighting,
armoring, costuming, heraldry, calligraphy, brewing and music just to
name a few. Our group is always eager for new members to teach, to
learn
from and to feast with.

come
to dance or fight practice at RPI.

Fall 2008 -
For now Dance Practice will be held in the Mueller Center at RPI
Thursdays from 7-9 PM. Check back for room changes or sign
onto AnglespurOpen@yahoogroups.com for updates.
The Mueller Center is on 15th Street in Troy, NY, between the RPI
Public Safety building and the Alumni Sports & Recreation center
